The EC-121 was not much fun for the CTO. The comms posit was on the port side aft of the cockpit and had a small "skylight" at about 10 o'clock on the fuselage. The keys on the TTY keyboard were pressed in on the left side like someone had stood on it to see out the peep hole. (It WASN'T ME!) Imagin trying to to up a WW on a keyboard like that! P3's were really cool for the "O" brancher. The comms posit was starboard just aft of the cockpit with a big bubble window. Thhe TTY was a mighty-mite with a fold out keyboard but it was better thann thhe EC121 setup. The P3 comm space had a spare radio (annd of course a very good antenna) to pick up cuurrent U.S. music on radio Malysia.
