Messaging Services Technician - Ft Meade, MD

We are looking for a Messaging Services Technician for Defense Messaging System (DMS) components. Duties include, review audit/log files to ensure applications integrity and to monitor health and status. Perform X.400 message tracing. Maintain mail lists. Perform X.400 message traffic maintenance. Service non-delivery notices. Maintain mailboxes and exchange servers. Monitor process of exporting audit/log files to archive service

Candidate will also monitor health and status of Legacy Messaging Systems. Perform message correction and retransmission. Initiate alt-route capability when conditions dictate. Ensure delivery of CRITIC message to national decision makers as rapidly as possible. Perform message tracing to locate messages needing retransmission. Perform switching to backup systems as required. Perform table updates and table saves, to include AIG, DAG SPOT, PLA, and RI modification when requested. Resolve messsage delivery and message format issues. Provide offline encryption. Provide message preparation, release, re-address and header preparation via MCS terminal in accordance with the message guideline for GENSER and DSSCS messages. Perform back up Emergency Action Message decryption in accordance with written instructions.

Candidate with NEWSDEALER, NEWSSTAND, CSP experience a major plus.
Candiate should be familiar with legacy messaging formats (DOI-103, JANAP-128, AMF) Dataflow Management, Knowledge of the DMS architecture and components experience with the operation and administration of DMS Core Products.

Basic Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Information Technology or 3 years experience with Information Systems, including experience in Record Messaging or DMS. Experience in Record Communication Messaging Systems. Ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Lifestyle Polygraph. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, good communication skills, and the ability to function within a team.

U.S. Citizenship and a TS/ SCI clearance with lifestyle polygraph is required for this position. Position is located in Fort Meade, Maryland 20755 USA.
